Hilton Head Island’s gated communities are considering an elimination of the word “plantation” from their name. Why? To accomplish what? To appease who this time?
Black Lives Matter demonstrations across the country are the reason given for three Hilton Head communities that use the word “plantation” on their signage to ditch the word. Activists point to Hilton Head’s dozens of plantations that enslaved people before the Civil War. Horse Pucky!
A minority attempts a power grab and the majority acts like a whipped dog. Tucks tail and hides under the porch hoping the “man with stick” will not hurt him again. Total Horse Pucky! The abuse will keep coming until the dog bites his sorry ass and stands up to the piece of crap he is. With any luck the dog will kill the stupid son-of-a-bitch and dole out some real overdue justice.
For someone to wave their hand and say ‘change the name,’ is not something that should be entertained because a few butt-hurt people feel slighted. The word “Plantation” denotes a leisurely lifestyle and focuses recognition of the history of that land.
Just Say No to eliminating the word plantation from the history of our nation. For God’s sake JUST SAY NO! Put a stop to this insanity.
